As referenced in the table of Corporate Environmental-Related Work in the introductory presentation (slides 3-26 of the attached presentation) for staff reports IDE-2019-44 and IDE-2019-47 at the May 6th, 2019 CoW meeting, there are numerous climate change-related initiatives recently completed, underway, and to be started in 2020 across the organization that are led by a number of departments. Funding for these initiates is not solely housed within the tax supported operating budget, rather some funding comes from the non-tax and capital budgets as well. Itemizing the line by line budgets for each of these projects would be onerous to compile. Looking forward, the current and future climate change initiatives will be highlighted and itemized as we move ahead with the City’s Strategic Plan’s action planning and reporting efforts for the Sustaining our Future priority, in 2020. Further, the City’s new 100 per cent renewable energy capital funding strategy will also enable corporate financial reporting on this investment as well as the achieved outcomes and as a reminder, the City’s invested $500,000 through the tax supported capital budget in 2020 for LED Lighting retrofits, energy audits, Building Automation System upgrades at multiple City facilities and cold water ice rink flooding technology at recreation facilities.
